  The Career Leader program has been a great experience
  for me. I have learned so much about what employers are
  looking for in students for internships and after graduation.
  Additionally, I have learned how to market my skills more
  effectively in interviews and on resumes. I am still working
  on my "personal commercial," and I know it will help me
  start networking.  I have also gotten some great advice on
  job searching and getting into the career field.  In the
  design field it is really important to start searching early
  and to get into firms to gain experience so you can get a
  great job after graduation. The career center and the
  advisors are so helpful and have so many resources to
  make connections.

  Summer Plans:
  I have a great summer job as an assistant to one of the
  owners of a local funeral home/cemetery business where I have worked for a few years. This job is a great business reference, and they are also planning on having me design some brochures and other advertising documents for our cemeteries so I will get more design experience this summer.
