  Summer Plans:  This summer I will be an assistant on a
  research project on the St. Paul Campus examining
  urban forestry in the metro area.   

  During my time with Career Leaders I have become
  acquainted with many of the St. Paul Campus Career
  Center staff, encouraging me to visit the SPCCC and
  utilize their vast resources.  I was able to take a leadership
  role in planning an employer career panel and learned
  valuable tips from potential employers in my field.  I have
  also learned a lot from Career Leader meetings as we
  covered a variety of topics, such as how to write cover
letters, how to follow up after an interview and how to utilize your personal strengths in an interview and in the workplace.  In addition, I was able to both attend and work at the Environmental Career Fair this spring where I identified myself as a Career Leader when meeting with employers.
