Graphic Design

Are you interested in how company logos, letterhead and other identity features are designed?  Do you enjoy working with computers?  Do you tend to notice the color, typography and layout of printed material, advertising, and web sites?

A Graphic Design major prepares you for a career in producing logos, letterhead, print material, signage, and promotional material to develop the image an organization wishes to portray.  Career paths include designing cover, typography, layout and illustration of books or magazines; working as an industrial designer and using computer-aided industrial design (CAID) tools to create designs and machine-readable instructions that communicate with automated production tools; and designing web pages to communicate information that is well organized and visually appealing.

Graphic Design graduates typically work as graphic designers, web page designers, illustrators, media artists, art directors, and desktop publishers.
