Current Job Title: Interior Designer
Organization:         20 Below Studio

How did you find this job?
NETWORKING! 20 Below Studio actually called ME about this position. They got my name from a product representative that I had worked with who knew I was looking for a job.

Please describe your job:
My daily tasks vary but include space planning, AutoCAD documentation, assembling furniture purchase orders, completing finish and furniture specifications, and managing the interiors library.

What from your undergraduate educational experience was most helpful in preparing you for this career?
My involvement in ASID student chapter and having a commercial internship DURING school helped me the most for my career. Be involved and get internships/experience!

What advice do you have for current students?
There is always SO MUCH to learn! Most importantly, NETWORKING really IS as important as we've always been told!!! Get an internship (or two, or three) to get as much experience as possible.  It helps a ton with networking and gives you resources that make your school projects so much better!
