FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who should sign up for Practice Interview Day?
Any undergraduate or graduate student on the St. Paul Campus who is expecting to interview for full time jobs or internships in the near future.  Even if you have had a practice interview before getting additional feedback is valuable.

What should I do to prepare for my practice interview?
Consider reading our interviewing handouts online or viewing our online job fair success workshop at the below web site:
http://www.stpaulcareers.umn.edu/jobsearch/interviewing.html

Who will be conducting interviews?
The St. Paul Campus Career Center is recruiting professionals from local companies and graduate programs to conduct interviews.  In some cases, University staff with expertise in the field may also conduct interviews.

Will I receive immediate feedback?
Yes!  A portion of the time will be spent asking you questions, the remainder of the time will be spent giving you immediate feedback on your body language and answers.  You will walk away with instant ideas about how to improve your skills for your next interview.

How should I dress?
We recommend dressing professionally for your interview so that you can get feedback on your appearance.  This will also reflect positively on you to a professional in your field.  You should also bring a copy of your resume to the practice interview.
