Recreation Resource Management

About the Major
A Recreation Resource Management major prepares you for a career in management of scenic and recreation resources on private, state and federal lands, ranging from developed recreation sites to primitive wilderness lands, wild rivers and national parks. The curriculum emphasizes natural and managed non-urban areas; natural resources-oriented recreation programs in public and private sectors; social science aspects of natural resources use; and skills in communication, planning, and management.  The Resource Based Tourism track of this major focuses on managing the businesses and visitors who depend on these resources for recreation and revenue.
