Mentor Programs

Your college mentor program is one of the easiest ways to get connected to someone in your field who is willing to give you information and support. All you have to do is sign up for the program and a mentor will be assigned to you based on your interests! Then, you meet monthly throughout the school year to gain professional advice, job shadow and learn more about the field!

Meeting with a professional in your field can be helpful in many ways including:

  • Help you learn what a typical day at work is like
  • Get tips on how to make yourself marketable for jobs
  • Learn how to make a good resume and portfolio for your field
  • Identify alternate career options with your major
  • Get inside information on possible jobs or internships
  • Learn about all of the possible employers for your job area
