A Recreation Resource Management major prepares you for a career in management of scenic and recreation resources on private, state and federal lands, ranging from developed recreation sites to primitive wilderness lands, wild rivers and national parks. There are also opportunities in entrepreneurship. The Resource Based Tourism specialization prepares you to manage the businesses and visitors who depend on these resources for recreation and revenue.
Recreation Resource Management graduates typically work as educators, naturalists, wilderness managers, park or river rangers, adventure trip leaders, recreation supervisors, or recreation facilities managers.
